Early warning signs
- Pushing to move off the app straight away, or refusing to video call.
- Stories that don't add up, or a profile that doesn't match the person.
- Any request for money, gift cards or investments. Always a hard no.
Behaviour to watch
- Love-bombing: intense affection and big promises very quickly.
- Disrespecting your boundaries, even in small ways, or making you feel guilty for having them.
- Controlling or jealous behaviour dressed up as "caring".
What to do
- Trust your gut. You don't owe anyone an explanation for leaving.
- Report and block anyone who makes you feel unsafe. Our team reviews every report.
